Wusthof Classic Creme Ikon Knives
A triumph in design and innovation, WÜSTHOF proudly introduces the Classic Creme Ikon series. This WÜSTHOF Classic Creme Ikon, is the sister knife to the Classic Ikon, but instead of a black POM (Polyoxymethylene) handle, the WÜSTHOF Creme Ikon’s handle is a gorgeous ivory colour that resembles billiard balls or piano keys.
Using the precision forging method invented and perfected by WÜSTHOF, the Classic Creme Ikon features a unique and extremely attractive double-bolster design. In addition, the second bolster on the end of the handle, adds handle weight to produce a lighter, more controllable balance, for those who prefer a full handle grip instead of a pinch grip when chopping and slicing. Each handle has a unique “bump” on the underside of the handle that aligns beautifully in the hand for perfect balance and fit for hours of chopping bliss.
The front bolster has also been tapered, enabling proper sharpening right to the heel of the blade. This allows for a rocking chop motion that will last even after repeated re-sharpening. The blade uses the same tried-and-tested X50CrMoV15 steel that Wüsthof consistently heat treats to a 58 Rockwell hardness: the perfect blend of edge holding, resiliency and maintainability. Finally, the WÜSTHOF Classic Creme Ikon line, as with most of WÜSTHOF’s premium lines, now features the new PEtech™ edge, which offers the razor sharpness of Japanese blades, with the traditional German convenience of ease of maintenance on a sharpening steel for an edge that will last for years. The WÜSTHOF Classic Creme Ikon series is an excellent blend of traditional style and Wüsthof innovation.
