The Shun Hiro 3.5” Paring Knife is the perfect knife for all of your small cutting tasks. Well-suited for hand-held cutting such as peeling and coring, or small jobs such as mincing herbs and garlic, the small blade of the paring knife offers excellent blade control. This is the go-to blade for the Japanese Master Chef to delicately turn an apple into an edible swan!
The Hiro 3.5" Paring displays an exceptional Damascus-clad pattern. Created with 64 layers of steel, the patterned blade is the hand-hammered to create the rustic-feeling tsuchime finish. A mirror-polish finishes the surface, making this Hiro blade exceptionally bright and reflective. The premium SG2 micro-carbide cutting core offers remarkable cutting performance, achieving an extraordinary Rockwell Hardness of 64. The crimson and charcoal Pakkawood handle is comfortable, contoured for an ambidextrous grip that both lefties and righties can enjoy. The handle is inlaid with a mosaic crest, a token of Shun's heritage as bladesmiths.
The Shun Hiro line of high-performance cutlery and the Hiro 3.5" Paring Knife is handcrafted in Seki City, Japan and available in Canada exclusively at House of Knives.
