Description

The Boker Beer Barrel Canoe knife is one of the most unique canoe knives around. Designed in the classic Canoe knife style, this traditional slip-joint folder features 2 blades: a blunt-tipped spear blade for cutting without piercing, and a classic all-purpose pen blade. The canoe knife makes an excellent fishing knife for its easy line cutting abilities. Each blade uses C75 steel, which is a non-stainless carbon steel manufactured in Germany. But the handle of the Beer Barrel Canoe knife is what makes this knife really special, because it’s made of oak wood from genuine German ale barrels, aged and handcrafted in Solingen, Germany. Each handle includes nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, and a medallion of the world-famous Tree Brand. The Beer Barrel Canoe makes a wonderful collector’s item, EDC, or gift to the knife and beer enthusiast.

Part of the Boker Manufaktur Solingen line, this knife features the world-renowned Tree Brand, marking that this knife has been handcrafted in Solingen, Germany using premium materials. The famous tree is an homage to the giant chestnut tree that towered above the Boker factory in the 17th century. While Boker officially started using the tree-brand to indicate their high-quality, handmade knives from Solingen in 1869, the tree has been used to mark Boker knives and tools since as early as 1674.

*Carbon steel blades require proper care and maintenance to avoid rusting. Never store your knife wet and avoid prolonged moisture or soaking. Always dry your knife thoroughly, and lightly oil the blades to protect them. Your blades will eventually develop a protective blue-gray patina.
