Description
Something sharp and the perfect tool to keep it that way - a chef's delight!
This Holiday Chef Bundle includes a Fusion Classic Fluted Edge 8" Chef's Knife and an EdgeLogix 2-Stage Ceramic Pull-Through Sharpener.
The Fusion Classic 8” Fluted Edge Chef’s Knife is an absolute cooking essential. Named the “chef’s knife” because it can do practically anything in the kitchen, this multi-purpose knife can slice, mince, cut, chop, dice, julienne, and peel. The tapered shape of the blade is perfect for rocking cuts, allowing you to quickly chop up herbs or slice vegetables with ease. The fluted edge—also known as hollow ground or granton—allows for pockets of air to form between the blade and the food so that whatever you are chopping does not stick to the blade. This works especially well with starchy ingredients like potatoes.
The Fusion Classic line embodies control, quality, and long-lasting dependability. Featuring a German-steel blade of X50CrMoV15 steel, each blade offers excellent edge retention and stain-resistance. The modified bolster is angled to encourage a proper pinch grip on the knife, giving the user mastery over their blade. Designed with an angle bolster for ease of sharpening, the whole blade can be used from tip to heel. An ergonomic, triple-riveted ABS handle encases each knife's full tang, giving the Fusion Classic substantial strength and heft. The ABS handle is dishwasher safe, but hand-washing is recommended.
The EdgeLogix Safety Grip 2 Stage Ceramic Sharpener offers two stages of sharpening that work on all straight-edged knives. The ultra-strong suction cup secures the sharpener safely to the countertop, preventing slipping and shifting. Use Stage 1 (400 grit coarse ceramic wheels) to sharpen a dull knife. Use Stage 2 (1000 grit fine ceramic wheels) directly after stage 1 to hone the knife. Regular maintenance of your already sharp knives can be done using Stage 2.
