Description

The Shun Classic 7-3/4" vegetable cleaver or "Chinese" vegetable cleaver (aka Chai Dao) features a very wide blade similar to a meat cleaver but is much thinner, giving it a razor sharp edge, and is used more like a chef's knife in day to day prep. The design is perfect for chopping and mincing vegetables, separating florets of cauliflower or broccoli, slicing boneless and soft meats like beef, poultry or fish. It's also great for flattening garlic bulbs and ginger. The wide blade is also great for transporting food to the pot or wok from the cutting surface.
