Spyderco’s Sage Series showcases a variety of folding knife lock mechanisms and the designers who helped popularize them. The sixth model in the series features the Button-Release Compression Lock, developed by custom knifemaker Kevin Smock, which adds a button release to the traditional Compression Lock for easier operation. This innovation makes the Sage 6 one of Spyderco's most "fidget-friendly" knives. The satin-finished blade is made from CPM S30V stainless steel and is full-flat ground, paired with an open-backed handle that includes nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners and carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales. For quick access, the knife is equipped with a reversible deep-pocket wire clip for left or right-side tip-up carry.
