Throwing Knives

Throwing knives are a special type of knife designed for throwing, shaped and balanced to make sailing through the air a precise action.

THROWING KNIFE TARGETS

Throwing knives are meant to hit soft targets, and never hard targets such as live trees, rocks, or the ground. If thrown at hard targets, your knives may dull, chip, or break.

Targets such as cross-sectioned log rounds, thick cork boards, and end grain wood is best for throwing so the knives are cushioned and will properly stick into the target. Use soft woods like pine or spruce.

THROWING KNIFE USE & CARE

While throwing knives are meant to be thrown at things, remember that throwing inherently abuses the knife, so chipping, dulling, and breakage may occur. Always throw at proper targets, use proper technique, and check your manufacturer’s warranty first before use.
