Seki Kanetsugu
Seki Kanetsugu was established over a century ago in 1918 by Matsujiro Kawamura, a descendant of the renowned swordsmith Kanetsugu, who began crafting swords in 1345. For three generations, the Kawamura family has diligently developed a knife workshop that honors the Kanetsugu legacy. By blending Seki's traditional knife-making techniques with modern innovations like the "sub-zero process," Seki Kanetsugu has emerged as a leading knife manufacturer in Japan. In 2018, the brand celebrated its centennial by introducing the new “Zuiun” (瑞雲) series, featuring exquisite Damascus steel that symbolizes the auspicious clouds of Buddhism.
