Shipping Details


House of Knives strives to offer the best shipping options to all customers. We have partnered with Canada Post and FedEx to provide multiple shipping options that reach all residents in Canada and the USA. In addition to providing excellent shipping, we also ensure that all our shipments are insured with Route and Carbon Neutral. For every purchase made, House of Knives contribues towards funding certified carbon offset projects with Route and GreenPlaces.

 Standard Shipping within Canada
• Below $99: $9.99 shipping via Canada Post Expedited or Fedex.

• $99 and Over: Free shipping via Canada Post Expedited.
• Processing Time: 1-3 business days.

• Estimated Delivery: 1-5 days (may vary).

 
Express Shipping within Canada

• Only available on orders over $100.

• Select Canada Post XpressPost or FedEx Economy Express for a $6.99 shipping fee during checkout.
• Processing Time: 1-3 business days.
• Estimated Delivery: 1-3 days (may vary).
Note: Certain remote locations may not qualify for FedEx services; in such cases, your order may be switched to Canada Post at our discretion.
 
Free In-Store Pickup (Available in British Columbia and Alberta)
• Processing Time: 2-8 business days.
• You must select in-store pickup at checkout and provide a shipping address within BC or Alberta. Valid ID is required for pickup. Orders must be collected within 30 days or will be returned and refunded.

 

Standard Shipping to the USA
• Below $99: $35 shipping fee.
• $99 and Over: $25 shipping fee.
• Processing Time: 1-3 business days.
• Estimated Delivery: 7-14 days (delays possible due to customs).

 

USA Shipping Notes:
•USA orders typically ship with Fedex; however, House of Knives reserves to choose the method of shipment.

•All orders are final sale and must be paid via PayPal or Sezzle.
• Exempt from GST and PST but import taxes and fees may apply.
• An additional $25 fee applies for shipments to Puerto Rico and Hawaii.


Shipping Insurance and Claims


All packages are insured by Route at no additional cost! If your package is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can file a claim with Route.

 

It is Important To File Your Claim Before Specific Deadlines
Damaged: Within 30 days from the date the package was marked "delivered".
Lost (domestic): No sooner than 7 days after the scheduled delivery date and must be filed within 30 days from the last tracking update. 
Lost (international): No sooner than 20 days after the scheduled delivery date and must be filed within 30 days from the last tracking update. 
Stolen: Claims for packages marked as “delivered” must be filed within 30 days of the delivery. Route requires a 5-day wait-to-file period for stolen orders as packages are sometimes prematurely marked as "delivered" but do often show up.

Terms and Conditions 


• We may request a signature on delivery for any order (at the discretion of House of Knives).

• We may deny shipments to freight forwarders; packages must go directly to their destination.

• Pickup from postal offices is required within 7 days; otherwise, return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

• Orders being shipped to hotels will be cancelled.

• Physical gift cards are shipped and incur a shipping charge.
• All claims for damaged and lost shipments must go through Route and follow Route's guidelines.
• If you cancel your order after being shipped, shipping charges are non-refundable, and standard return procedures apply.
