Description
The Kasumi Hammered collection is a modern arrangement of old-fashioned hammer knives with excellent corrosion resistance. This three-layer kitchen knife uses VG-10 stainless steel as the inner core and SUS410 grade stainless steel as its exterior, which provides excellent corrosion resistance. The blade is hardened to HRC 59-60 and has a chrome hammered, polished mirror finish and is sharpened to a precise cutting edge.
Very unique for a Japanese knife, the Hammered series is has a contoured black POM (polyacetal resin) handle allowing it to be moulded into an ergonomic design, that is long-lasting, comfortable and practical to hold
Japan has always revelled in its isolation, a mysterious land filled with mountains, dragons and the sea. The Kasumi has always understood to be a spring mist, a well known phenomenon in Japan, it will settle over the mountains and sheltered valleys of rural Japan. The ‘Kasumi’ describes the pattern on the blades.
The paring knife is the smallest blade in the kitchen and exceptionally maneuverable, making it perfect for small and delicate prep tasks. Peel, cut, pare, garnish, core, and pit foods that are too small for a bigger knife to easily accomplish. The paring knife’s size allows for excellent blade control.
