This particular Mule Team release features 19C27 stainless steel, a high-purity ingot steel from Alleima® in Sweden that's widely favored by Japanese knifemakers and often referred to simply as “Swedish steel.” Known for its fine grain structure and balanced performance, 19C27 is regarded as a cost-effective alternative to VG-10 and closely resembles MBS-26, the steel used in Spyderco’s Kitchen Classics line. Available in both PlainEdge and SpyderEdge versions, this blade is sold without handle scales or sheath, making it an ideal blank canvas for hobbyists or those looking to customize their own high-performance fixed blade.
