Description
The Shun Kanso 7” Santoku is what we like to call a work of art. Shun has taken the Santoku, a beautiful, Asian-inspired chef’s knife, and pared it down to the essentials of what makes a good knife. And they’ve done it in such a way that makes us swoon. The Kanso Santoku is the perfect knife to slice through fruits and root vegetables with ease, due to the hollow-ground edge that reduces suction and drag while cutting. Use it for big tasks or small ones, the Kanso 7” Santoku is versatile enough to do just about anything, and light enough so you won’t get tired while conquering the kitchen.
The Shun Kanso series was designed based on the Zen ideal of simplicity. Simplicity in its truest form, without any fluff, bells, or whistles. Without the non-essential. What you get in the Kanso line is what you need, and nothing more. Exceptional steel, a razor-sharp edge, durability, balance, and a traditional beauty. Each component that makes up the Kanso collection has been honed, hand-picked, and perfected to produce the best knife in the simplest form possible. The tagayasan wood scales were chosen for their proven durability, and are shaped to promote a pinch grip. Everything you get in the Shun Kanso 7” Santoku is intentional, and essential to what makes a knife functional.
