Precision forged from a single piece of high-carbon, stain-free steel, the Wüsthof Classic White 9" Hollow Ground Edge Carving Knife features a long blade and is used to slice thin cuts of turkey, roast, ham, and other large cooked meats. A carving knife has a sharper edge than a chef’s knife, enabling it to cut thinner and more delicate slices. Its extra length allows it to make long and smooth slicing strokes—rather than having to saw back and forth rapidly – for professional-looking slices. The narrow blade helps with maneuverability, especially around the bone found in ham or prime rib. The carving knife can also be used to fillet salmon and other large fish and even easily slice larger fruits and vegetables.
Dimples or hollow-ground Hollow Ground edges on a blade create air pockets between the knife and the food while slicing for reduced friction and suction. This decreases prep time when slicing and cutting because foods slide easier off the blade with less binding and sticking. The handle of durable synthetic white POM is triple riveted, ergonomic, and resists fading and discolouration so you can enjoy the dazzling white for years to come!
