Description
The strong demand for the Boker Tirpitz-Damast over the years has led to the creation of a more compact interpretation featuring the same historic Damascus steel. The Boker Barlow Prime Tirpitz Damascus is designed as a refined gentleman’s pocket knife that retains its collector appeal while also being practical for everyday carry. Its blade is crafted from the distinctive Tirpitz Damascus steel, featuring an elongated ricasso and traditional nail nick opening, and it is built around the classic drop-shaped Barlow design.
The blade material originates from armor of the legendary battleship Tirpitz, recovered from the Norwegian fjord after World War II and transformed into Damascus steel by Boker’s specialists. The resulting 200-layer “Great Pyramid” pattern gives each blade a unique appearance, while the steel combination ensures durability with a hardness of 61–63 HRC suitable for daily use. Safety is supported by a slip-joint mechanism with a 90-degree stop. The design is completed with a contoured handle made from black Micarta and walnut wood scales, crafted for a comfortable grip and a clean, liner-free construction that emphasizes simplicity and tradition.
