This distinctive 6/8-inch straight razor features an entirely black appearance and introduces a burnished carbon steel blade. Rather than using a conventional coating, the blade undergoes a specialized acid treatment that transforms its surface into a durable black oxide layer, creating a refined and authentic finish. The blade is finished with an extra-hollow grind and detailed with jimping on both sides, reinforcing the razor’s premium character. Thanks to its carefully balanced weight, the blade glides smoothly and comfortably across the skin for a precise shaving experience.

The handle is crafted from exotic Amboina wood, admired for its dramatic and highly varied grain pattern—at times reminiscent of woven carbon fibre. Originating from Southeast Asia, this distinctive appearance results from naturally occurring root growth formations, ensuring every handle has its own unique look.

Its deep black color and exceptionally smooth feel are achieved through a wood stabilization process, in which heated epoxy resin is infused into the wood’s pores and then cured. This treatment enhances durability while preserving the wood’s natural beauty. The rounded, bulbous shape of the handle creates an elegant contrast to the razor’s straight blade profile, emphasizing its bold design language.

Subtle details complete the presentation, including two nickel silver studs and the iconic silver Boker tree emblem set into the handle.

The razor is supplied with an authentic Boker blade stamp, a certificate of authenticity, and an elegant floating display, and is handcrafted in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen.
