Description
The Boker Kihon Bifold 42a is a lightweight two-handed folding knife that reflects the Japanese concept of Kihon—mastering the fundamentals through purposeful simplicity. Designed by U.S. knifemaker Lucas Burnley, it combines clean aesthetics with practical everyday performance in a refined and minimalist package.
Its blade is made from powder-metallurgical CPM MagnaCut steel (61–62 HRC) with a satin finish, offering an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The knife opens traditionally via a nail nick and is secured by a reliable backlock mechanism. A one-piece stainless steel handle constructed using the bifold method creates a sleek, functional design, while the adjustable tip-up pocket clip and integrated lanyard hole add versatility for modern everyday carry. Handmade at the Boker Manufactory in Germany.
