The newest addition to the byrd "flock," the Gooney, features a unique blade shape that blends elements of the sheepfoot, hawkbill, and Reverse “S” patterns, offering a highly versatile cutting edge. Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, the blade is full-flat ground from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel, providing excellent edge geometry and smooth cutting performance. The blade is paired with a sturdy back lock mechanism housed in a linerless handle with gray, peel-ply-textured G-10 scales. The handle also includes a four-position pocket clip for versatile carry options and a large lanyard hole for easy attachment of fobs and safety lines.
