Designed by Christian Porterfield, the CJRB Nova J1937 brings together aesthetic simplicity and functional design. Inspired by knives in his own collection, Porterfield opted for a clean, neutral handle shape and thumbstuds for a familiar and reliable opening method. The blade features a 3.45-inch Japanese tanto shape with a harpoon and compound grind, reflecting his personal preferences and design explorations. Crafted from AR-RPM9 steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, the blade is finished with a sand polish and a flat grind for optimal performance. The handle is made from durable G10, and the knife includes a steel clip for secure carry. It operates smoothly on ceramic ball bearings and features a liner lock for safety. With an overall length of 7.9 inches, a closed length of 4.45 inches, and a weight of just 90 grams (3.18 ounces), the Nova combines elegance and practicality in a compact, well-crafted package.
