Description
The Hatsukokoro Kokugei Kurouchi Blue1 Santoku 6.5" is a well-rounded knife that can accomplish a lot of cutting tasks, and it excels at slicing, dicing, and mincing. Think of it as a cross between a Gyuto (chef's knife) and a Nakiri (vegetable cleaver knife).
The high-performance and hand-forged Hatsukokoro Kokugei series of knives uses premium Blue Paper Steel #1 for superior sharpness that has a soft iron cladding and a rustic Kurouchi finish. This black finish reduces maintenance while providing a unique appearance.
The traditional octagonal Japanese Wa handle is made with Wenge wood and has a buffalo horn ferrule.
Due to the handmade nature of this knife, the colour and pattern of the knife, handle and ferrule may vary from knife to knife.
