The Manix 2 XL Salt is a larger, more rugged version of Spyderco’s well-known Manix 2, now reimagined for maximum corrosion resistance as part of the Salt Series. Its wide, leaf-shaped blade is made from CPM MagnaCut—a cutting-edge steel from Crucible Industries known for combining outstanding toughness, edge retention, and excellent rust resistance. Designed with tactical use in mind, the blade features a non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. The knife uses Spyderco’s strong and reliable Ball Bearing Lock™, secured within a handle built with full skeletonized stainless steel liners and durable black G-10 scales. These scales are both peel-ply textured and shaped with Spyderco’s Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture™ for superior grip. Matching the stealthy blade, all the hardware—including the reversible tip-up clip and liners—is coated for corrosion resistance and finished in low-profile black for a unified, purpose-driven look.
