The blade of the Senzo Black Paring Knife is made of Damascus steel with beautiful ripples, giving it the handmade feel of traditional Japanese handmade knives. The key points of the VG10 used for the core material are its sharpness and durability. Furthermore, by treating the Damascus black, it creates a chic and calm atmosphere.
The blade is made of Damascus steel, which gives it a unique ripple pattern. The unique patterns on each piece are reminiscent of the ripples on a Japanese sword. The core material of Damascus steel is VG10 (V Gold No. 10), which is a special stainless steel cutter steel containing cobalt. VG10 is a special stainless steel with improved hardness and abrasion resistance that brings out good sharpness and long-lasting sharpness. In addition, the DP layer, soft layer, and hard layer overlap to sandwich VG10. The multiple layers create a pattern unique to Damascus steel on the surface of the knife. It is a multi-layered steel material consisting of a VG10 core material, 33 soft and hard layers on one side, and a DP layer, for a total of 69 layers
The handle is the traditional octagonal shape of Japanese knives. The handle fits your hand so you can grip it without slipping. The material is laminated reinforced wood.
