Description
The Boker Tiger-Damast expands Boker’s collection of historically inspired knives with an exceptional collector’s piece that combines authentic historical material with modern knife craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Tiger I tank, one of the most recognizable armored vehicles of the 20th century, this knife transforms a remarkable piece of engineering history into a highly exclusive design. The blade steel originates from authentic armor recovered from a Tiger I of Schwere Panzerabteilung 502, destroyed in 1944 near Bauska, Latvia, giving each knife a direct connection to a documented historical artifact.
Its striking non-stainless mosaic Damascus blade, hand-forged by Chad Nichols in the expressive Intrepid pattern, is crafted from original Tiger armor steel and reflects the complexity and precision of advanced Damascus forging techniques. The ball-bearing blade opens smoothly via thumb stud and locks securely with a stonewashed steel frame lock, supported by a Hinderer Lock-Stop for added security. Design elements throughout the knife reference the vehicle itself—from the overall silhouette and drive-sprocket-inspired pivot screw to the burlap Micarta handle scales with grooves reminiscent of historic Zimmerit armor texture. Handcrafted in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen, the knife is supplied with a premium suspended display, certificate of authenticity, and individual serial number.
