The Grohmann #3 Boat knife has a triangular shaped handle that helps prevent slippage when wet. It is a General Purpose fixed blade outdoor knife, but ideal for hunting. Extremely comfortable grip for any application, from small game dressing and birds to large game.  Palm & finger fitting "offset" handle for safe grip.

This model features a stainless steel blade with a regular grind and a micarta handle. Regular "sabre" grind blade comes up about halfway on the blade. Our regular classic grind makes for a thicker, stronger blade, and was designed ideally for hunting and skinning/dressing.

Micarta is commonly called the "steel of the plastic family" for its strength and durability and is similar to G-10. Composed of layers of linen soaked in resin, it is lightweight yet tough, has a slightly linen textured look but fairly smooth to the touch when finished.
