The Bunka Knife is an all-purpose knife suitable for preparing meat, vegetables and fish that is set apart by its wide blade featuring an acute and utilitarian point on the end that creates its unique shape. The width makes it suitable for preparing vegetables while the triangular tip is particularly useful when cutting protein.
Balancing beauty with performance, Yoshikane SKD knives are made with SKD, a semi-stainless steel that offers long lasting edge retention and superior cutting performance. The blades feature a Nashiji finish. Nashiji in Japanese means ‘pear skin pattern’.It has a textured feel that comes from a knife finishing technique where the surface of the blade is left looking unfinished or rustic. The teak handles are the traditional octagonal shape with a horn ferrule.
